The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services on the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it is actually alarmed concerning the high range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The assistance point designed for intervention ordeals a higher influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tough for your Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to sassa a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to enable the servicing of all consumers and maximize access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
